The city of Wenatchee is located along the Columbia River in north central Washington.
With its rich volcanic soil and good irrigation system, the Wenatchee Valley is home to many wineries and has become a wine tour destination. Aside from wineries the city is also the self-proclaimed 'Apple Capital of the World' famous for the quantity and quality of the apples it produces.
Attractions in Wenatchee include the ten-mile bicycle loop trail along the shores of the Columbia River, the mini-steam train running at the Riverfront Park, and the Rocky Reach Dam.
Hotels in Wenatchee are located on the west bank of the Columbia River, within three miles of the Wenatchee historic downtown and Wenatchee center.
