Hold your breath! The home game schedule is almost set...
ABOUT THE 2018 SEASON:
Our home stadium is Memorial Stadium in the heart of Seattle, right under the Space Needle. Friday and Saturday games will be played in the evening. Sunday games start in the early afternoon.
8+ home games in Memorial Stadium, at the foot of the Space Needle.
Our AUDL (open) roster will play 14+ games against the other teams in the AUDL West Division. At the conclusion of the regular season, the top 2 teams in the AUDL West division will compete for one spot at Championship Weekend where they will be tested by the top team from the Midwest, East, and South Divisions.
Our mixed roster will play in the Cascades Cup (in Seattle, date/time tba) and 1-2 other showcase games, including the Flamethrowers Cup (in San Francisco, May 26th).
SEATTLE CASCADES ROSTERS:
-- The open team will compete in 14 regular season AUDL games. If we finish first or second in the West Division, then we'll play one playoff game for a spot at Championship Weekend in August.
-- Our mixed team will include ~15 women and ~15 men, of which 10 & 10 will compete in "Cup" games.
-- Most (if not all) of the players on Mixed team will come from the open team.
-- If we compete as a women's team, our core will consist of our ~15 mixed players... and we'll recruit additional players from Seattle.
-- Opponents in consideration include club teams from other cities or one of the "women's teams" that are potentially forming alongside other AUDL teams.
-- Our over-arching goal is to create positive and sustainable opportunities for women to play. To this end, we still have time to figure out a women's team concept that works for this season.
