Aberdeen, a Scottish name, which means 'confluence of two rivers' is located on the southern edge of the Olympic Peninsula, where the Chehalis and Wishkah rivers converge into Grays Harbor.
The main point of interest in the city is the 'Lady Washington', a full-scale replica of the ship, in which American trader Rober Gray explored Gray's Harbor in 1792.
Hotels and motels in Aberdeen are located in the center of town, where Highway 12 meets Highway 101, on the northern bank of the Chehalis River.
